flutter_skin package, and any related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
FSkin is currently in active alpha development. Features, limits, and parts of this policy may change as the product evolves. We’ll do our best to flag major changes, but check back periodically.
Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms apply to anyone who creates an FSkin account, uses the FSkin Dashboard, integrates theflutter_skin package into an app, or otherwise accesses the Service.
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you’re using FSkin on behalf of a company or team, you’re confirming you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Your Account
1
Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate information when signing up, whether via email and password or GitHub OAuth. See Account Management for details on authentication and profile settings.
2
Account security
You’re responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential. Any activity that happens under your account is your responsibility.
3
One account per person
Accounts are for individual developers or the organizations they represent. Don’t share credentials across unrelated parties.
Alpha Limits
FSkin is in alpha, and the Service is currently subject to usage limits, including:Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload or publish skins, project names, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes on someone else’s rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user’s account, team, project, or API keys
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including the SSE connections used to push live skin updates
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, other than the open source
flutter_skinpackage, which you’re welcome to inspect and contribute to on GitHub - Use the Service to distribute malware or to build a competing remote-configuration product using data obtained through unauthorized access
Teams and Projects
Projects and skins created under a team are accessible to that team’s members, according to their permission level. If you’re a Viewer, Admin, or Owner of a team, these Terms apply equally to your use of that team’s shared resources.API Keys
API keys are scoped to a single project and are intended for use by theflutter_skin package to fetch skins on behalf of your app. You agree to:
- Keep API keys out of public version control
- Revoke any key you believe has been exposed or compromised
- Not use an API key to access a project you don’t have permission for
The flutter_skin Package
flutter_skin is open source, distributed separately from the hosted Service, and licensed under the terms in its repository. Your use of the package to fetch and render skins is still subject to these Terms where it interacts with the hosted Service — for example, authentication via API key and the live update connection described in Implementation.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the projects, skins, color tokens, and any other content you create in FSkin. By publishing a skin, you grant FSkin the right to store, transmit, and broadcast that content to your connected app instances as part of providing the Service. We don’t claim ownership over your color tokens, project names, or descriptions. We also don’t use your content to train models or share it with third parties, except as needed to operate the Service (see the Privacy Policy).Service Availability
FSkin is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. As an alpha product, you should expect:- Occasional downtime or degraded performance
- Features that change, move, or are removed as the product evolves
- The possibility of data loss, though we take reasonable steps to prevent it
Don’t rely on FSkin as the sole source of truth for a production app’s critical theming without a fallback. Always configure a fallback skin so your app degrades gracefully if the Service is unavailable.
